...the journey continues.... "...take another little piece of my heart and break it..." - Janice Joplin
This first rough sketch (1996) came out of my work at the Braveheart I Consciousness Raising workshop in Langley ....
...i kept it at the back of my brain, and in 1997 i flew to Denver for the Braveheart II workshop, and after 4 days of intensive meditation and soul-work we had our "Initiation Ceremony".
i have added to the image in my unconsciouse and in rough drafts of paper....

How absolutely beautiful! and how it says what one can feel... when the heart is broken..
remind me sometime to find a way to tell you of meeting my soulmate.. and losing my soulmate.. and then.. well..
complicated story..
I saw janis joplin in concert herein pittsburgh.. many , many years ago..
it was WOW indeed! a haze of pot.. we had third row seats and the music ?
oh my! fabulous.. and possibly the best concert i ever attended..
if you would like a larger version of the flamingoes... email me okay? i will send it along..
take care and have a great day

alan, the thing about the broken heart is a good thing -- you see what happens is the "symbolic" heart shatters open and through the breaking blossoms into the compassionate heart, which is not shown in this post because blog spot would not publish it (maybe file too big?)
cheers from "scorching" vancouver
That's a neat idea...I think blood can mean more than death/violence: it's life, isn't it? Its what fills us and makes us whole.
Good job!
JV
thanks JV
GREAT TO SEE YOU OVER HERE! -- and yeah, you've got it!
another hot day in lotus land!!
love and light,
pj
oh by the way Kath, i myself do not believe in soul mates per se (say?), i believe in "soul groups" which comprise of 11 souls which are one's "kindred spirits", and when we leave this physical plane all 11 die around about the same time...then i'm not sure what happens... have not done further investigation into this...too distracted with material things! (i.e. Blogs etc, heh heh)
anyway...lucky you to have seen Janice Joplin...one of our brightest STARS...in the cosmic sence of the word....
