here are my Christmas Flamingos, not a very good photo but the only one that turned out, and you can't see the little sleigh they are pulling, will have to try again next year.

here is a photo of "Ken" feeding one of his home-made cupcakes to one of the flamingos. As you can see this photo was taken in Autume, and a warm one it was too!

oh!

and i am a huge fan of swiffer dusters!

I even have a pkg of those swiffer wet thingamajigs for emergencies.. but, rarely use them..

and mr clean sponges.. one in both baths and one in the kitchen .. they are fantastic!
( gods, i have never wondered why.. just chalked it up to the magic of the the man with the earring.... )

this time i had to use a real cloth though.. and soon i fear it is going ot be all books off the shelf and dusted one by one

eep!

i try to keep my cleaning products that contain chemicals down to a minimum, but i LUV the smell of bleach, (how weird is THAT?) and i have made a concession with the Swiffers, 'cause they work so well!..but you know baking soda and elbow greese... kinder to the environment (but it IS hard to be kind, eh?)

jip; sure! i wouldn't mind that, but i thought you had "boomers" in aus. (remember that song, "six white boomers?)-- i have a kangaroo cookie cutter and at Christmas time i like to make gingerbread Roo cookies, and put white icing on them (remember that song, "six White Boomers"?

cheers for now,
and keep thinking pink ya hear!

alan, yep, i'm glad you like wild woman, as long as you don't try to "domecticate" them, eh?

hi pj,

long time no hear from. it's been pretty quiet everywhere these days. i visited your site the other day. love your picture--a very good model you are.

the weather seems to be crazy everywhere. it does not snow in san bernardino, ca where my daughter lives. she said they had snow this past weekend. it didn't stick though.

we had 70-80 degree weather the past 5 days. yesterday, i thought it was summer with the heat and humidity. i had to turn on my fan. didn't want to the do the air conditioning yet. today is another story, however. windy, cool, and will be turning cold tonite. i've had my heat off since last thursday. probably time for it to come back on tonite. i do hope we're finished with the snow though.

i wish i could get some of your sunflowers and tomatoes when they're ready. i don't like peas, but i could put the sunflowers in my vase in my home and i love tomatoes.

well, you're all dressed for summer--at least in your picture you are. this is really a great picture of you.

by the way, what is "commonwealth day" in canada? that was on yesterday.

Sylvia,
yeah, i remember the very first time it snowed in Vancouver, many many years ago, before we had sanders and snow plows and stuff. What a mess. Nothing moved on the roads, the place came to a standstill.

i love the snow-pea bloom -- you will have to plant your own toms. best when fresh, dontch think?

that old photo of me -- man, dig that hair-do, eh? i used to be such a poser, well, i still am really, but i SURE DON'T LOOK LIKE THAT ANYMORE - add about 40 lbs and some jowls and you get the "real picture", lol -- oh well, that is something we all have in common, the ravages of time [and i absolutely will not defile my "temple" with plastic surgery -- UGH! -- so i content myself with old photos of me and just get on with life!

sun is trying to shine through the clouds - the barometer is playing havoc with the old head.
