now maybe i can change my tune

CONGRATULATIONS America!! - maybe now I can "change my tune" from "...I'm afraid of Americans" to....well, i don't know right now, i am so excited and pleased and releaved all at once...but anyway, maybe it IS finally really the dawning of the age of Aquarius or something just as great!!! all i can say right now is YIPPEE! - i am so happy that America voted for the Right President!

...and remember the Covenant...and the Promise?...so here's to new beginnings, great new beginnings symbolized by the majesty of the Rainbow....

Let's see what happens. A new election always seems to invoke optimism.

yes! how true...and while we all feel optimistic about this "change", the President-Elect does not exactly spell good news for Canadians and NAFTA, but we shall wait and see, eh?

hi PJ, i'm sorry you've felt afraid of Americans. we're people just like everyone else; we're Americans because we're from America just like you're Canadian because you're from Canada, etc., but we're all people.

The U.S. has it's share of problems just like any other country, and i don't believe there is a perfect country anywhere just like there are no perfect people. there are so many walls around people that hopefully under our new administration some of those walls be taken down.

last nite was a very historical event for Americans and especially for Blacks/African-Americans, and i believe a start towards being more unified as well as other changes.

While countries have presidents, kings, queens, mayors, governors, etc. to help lead and guide them, they're not God and are limited in their power to do. however, we can do our part thru prayer for them as they lead and guide their respective countries.

great post here. thank you for joining in our celebration and for your comments on my blog.

quite right heiresschild, i have to admit that my statement is partially "tongue in cheek", although there are some elements of u.s. society that i am afraid of, as in any other culture...but i like to use that phrase which is from a popular song, you may know it...anyhoo...not to worry, i have plenty of American friends and acquaintances, like you, who re-affirm my faith in Americans, and humankind as a whole.

keep the faith Sister,
cheers,
