Sounds a great idea; too bad I'll be a few thousand miles away.
If I lived closer I would certainly be there. One thing I will always remember, is the poverty I came from. I one day hope to be on my feet well enough to help others. And I know that day will come. Just this morning I was eating a cinnamon roll...and I thought about how many will never taste the sweet taste of a sugary frosting, or a warm cinnamon roll. I had just told myself, that someday I hope to help others....I can't see how some can dine on expensive meals and not share the "wealth" maybe some do, but do most? Just my thought for the day. I think there is no greater sense of pride than helping those who are struggling so hard to help themselves.......May I always remember where I came from.
Thanks for sharing...and caring
Peg
What a wonderful event. I wish I could be in Vancouver to be there. I'd really like to see Skeena Reece, she was a student of mine the first year I taught.

Great cause. I wish I knew someone in Vancouver. I myself am living in poverty and know that struggle. I too hope to get to a point where I can better help others. Even though we do not have much money we still try to donate $10 to a charity every month.
I have done a huge "forwarding" and will also post at my "almapathdirections" (not much traffic there...
Wishing it a great success!
