This was sent to me by a friend

"Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean that they don't love you with all they have.

Jim and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Jim suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.

Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled Jim out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act, she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital as she now considered her to be mentally stable.

When she went to tell Edna the news, she said, "Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being dischared. Since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of another patient, I have concluded that your act displays sound- mindedness.

The bad news is that Jim, the patient you saved, hanged himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry dear, but he's dead."

Edna replied, "He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?"

Funny post. Says alot about life too doesn't it!

It is getting so cold here in the midwest...will be a long winter. I am thinking of looking for a used pair of snow hiking skis thingys...what are they called?? Anyway, I plan this year on getting out in the snow more. I do alot anyway...but MORE is better!!

Have a great weekend...WHERE ARE YOU??

PJ...I got your post. LOL. I was just wondering if you too were camping and swimming and having fun. So many have went camping lately...I know in the Midwest camping is drawing to a close....and many co-workers are getting a last few weekends in before Snowfall.

Pugs are cute aren't they.

After Bunny..no more pets for me. That's it...done sip da nada. No more. I get to attached to them. But then, that's not always a bad thing.

I love that quote. So true. Too often we expect the world to bend to our will instead of accepting this as there are.

Hi Josie,dlCapitano, Peg;
Glad you enjoyed a laugh, cheers!

elle, thanks for stopping by, but listen, it's a JOKE, and the joke is on the Head Nurse/Director; the joke is that she/he has not accurately assessed the mental health of the patient...but i guess it just depends on your life experience or maybe your occupation, certainly it is "dark" humour, but sometimes that is all we have, in these dark days, hah hah!

well never mind...

hi Enid, hi James, hi Sa'de; thanks for stopping by!

cheers for now,
pj

anyway as for:

"Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean that they don't love you with all they have"

most times i agree... but sometimes i get selfish and want more.. it is complicated, but it is hard sometimes..

anyway.. hope you are well and know that i have not forgotten about you.. life is just being life..
