Love the photo, and the cookies sound delicious!

Recipe Saturday was an idea "Blogzie" came up with a few months ago; everyone that wanted to putting up favorite recipes to share with everyone else on Saturdays. I've learned a lot from some of them! Who knew you could make lavender sugar?

My repertoire is rather small, and I've exhausted a good bit of it in just a few weeks. Of course, I never really started cooking until 3 or 4 years ago, so I'm truly still a rookie when it comes to so many things, lol!

I started to put up Stallone's recipe for "Rocky" cookies, but thought that might not be fair...a very healthy "good carb" cookie.

Have a lovely Easter!

Happy Easter to you!

I love peeps .. lol stick on in the microwave for a few seconds!
wow!

lol

It has been warming up here.. and I was able to plant a few seeds in pots for gifts yesterday.. and spent some time digging up yet more of my comfrey plant.. ( no fear I have two more ) but it is stubborn.. like mint.. I have given up on the mint, and just decided to let it roam free... it does come in handy, after all..
it forms a bacground of green to.. well.. everything else.... on that side of my house.. the scent of roses and mint is interesting.. and pleasant :)

i too love that eagle cam, and usually keep it up when i am online.. most fun is when they are swtiching places :)

and sometimes , when the dog barks.. Duncan gets antsy :)

hey Kath, Glad you are enjoying the eagle cam, i keep loosing the connection, but now i'm getting addicted to the chat forum, have you tried that yet?

ahh, i'm itching to get some planting done! yesterday i wanted to get my tomato plants but it was so cold rainy and windy we just wanted to get inside, (WalMart was a "zoo") get the necessities then head back to our cosy cave, and light a fire....

yes, not much you can do about the mint, unless you want to just plant it in a very large pot...but yes, it does tend to take over the garden, like bamboo...

well, i will have to try the peeps in the microwave...you are soooo full of such unusual ideas! - i have not tried the lavendar sugar yet, it sounds so decadent and Southern, don'tcha think?

- hmmm, mint and roses, sounds intriguing; I love those standard roses, you know the ones with long slender trunks, and then a ball of roses at the top, like the Queen of Hearts has in Alice in Wonderland ; but i have never had any success keeping them alive through the winter...the honey suckle that i rooted died, so i guess i will just have to go out and buy my very own.

my mom just phoned me, she said she is going to take her coffee and go out and sit in the sun! - crumbs, lucky duck, it is grey, overcast and cold here, i even had to put the heat on!
enuf moaning from me .... have a swell weekend! ...hugs etc to you and Duncan,,,

yeah.. should have planted the mint in a big old pot to begin with.. too late now!

I separated and replanted hosta this morning, after walking Dunkers..
( still off today )

my plan is to buy two hydrangea plants for the front and then plant my usual morning glories.. only this year.. instead of purple and blue ai am planting red, blue and white.. some of the white will be moonflowers..

I love morning glories !

Hi Kath,

morning glories are so unpretentious, don't you think? -- and they are my daughter's favourite...
